PNB’s Dance on Film Festival returns to Seattle Center for an outdoor screening! This year’s event will include seven short dance films selected by a jury of three prominent artistic directors: Tamara Rojo (San Francisco Ballet), Lourdes Lopez (Miami City Ballet), and Hope Muir (National Ballet of Canada.) The PNB Dance Film Festival was born from an explosion of dance film creativity during the pandemic. The festival showcases dance films and artists by sharing their incredible work with PNB’s audiences. Join us in the shadow of the Space Needle for an evening of creative dance cinema en plein air!

The 2024 line-up includes:

Ballroom Dancing by Loughlan Prior

Shapes of Aether by Elias Benedikt Choi-Buttinger

A Place For Us by Leigh-Ann Esty and Ellie Gravitte

5678 With A Chance Of A Hurricane by Gunta Liepina-Miller

Dancing With ALS | Breanna’s Story by Ballet Rising and Casey Herd

As Big as the Sky by Lindsay Clipner

Dawn Chorus by Henry Wurtz and Amanda Morgan

The Festival line-up will be preceded by three short dance films created by PNB company dancers:

Happening by Leah Terada and Miles Pertl (edited by Noel Pederson)

Unprecedented Serenade by Dylan Wald and Noel Pederson

The Only Thing You See Now by SeaPertls and Henry Wurtz, for Seattle Dance Collective
